PLAR Practitioners Certificate Program through Nova Scotia PLA Centre, Halifax NS

A program of portfolio development as a base for leadership training and capacity building

The NS PLA Centre has used its skills and learning portfolio development program as a base for leadership training and capacity building. PLAR Practitioner candidates first undertake their own portfolio development process, in a facilitated group setting over thirty hours of activities, exercises and discussion.

Following the successful completion of that process, each candidate plans and presents a proposal to facilitate (or, often, to co-facilitate) a portfolio development program 'practicum' with a group of colleagues or clients. The Centre provides guidance, support and supervision throughout and upon completion of a final report, awards successful candidates a PLAR Practitioners Certificate.
