Developing Benchmarks for Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition

Practitioners' Perspectives

The aim of this benchmarking study was to develop and promote national benchmarks for PLAR practitioners in Canada. The study reviews Canadian PLAR practices and the benchmarking process. It also analyzes the climate for benchmarks, discusses PLAR policy development and presents a mechanism for validating the competence of PLAR practitioners. A practitioners' guide was published separately. See Guidelines for The Canadian PLAR Practitioner.
